Paul Craig started his training with Deb Knight at the Conservatory of Dance and with Jefferson Baum at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. At age 14, he toured with Blue Lake International Exchange Program to Germany, Italy, and France. He later enrolled at the Virginia School of the Arts. In 2006, he trained in Boston Ballet School’s Trainee Program.

His Boston Ballet repertory includes Sir Frederick Ashton’s The Sleeping Beauty, George Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Divertimento No. 15, The Four Temperaments, Rubies, and Theme and Variations; Christopher Bruce’s Rooster, Jeffrey Cirio’s fremd, Florence Clerc's La Bayadère, Val Caniparoli’s Lady of the Camellias, John Cranko's Romeo and Juliet and Onegin; Jorma Elo's Plan to B, In on Blue, Double Evil, Brake the Eyes, Slice to Sharp, and Carmen; William Forsythe's The Second Detail, James Kudelka's Cinderella, Jiří Kylián's Wings of Wax, Bella Figura, and Petite Mort; Wayne McGregor’s Chroma, José Martinez’s Resonance, Léonide Massine’s Gaîté Parisienne, Mikko Nissinen's The Nutcracker and Swan Lake; John Neumeier’s Third Symphony of Gustav Mahler, Rudolf Nureyev's Don Quixote, Helen Pickett’s Tsukiyo and Eventide; Jerome Robbins' Fancy Free, Norbert Vesak’s Belong, Christopher Wheeldon's Polyphonia, and Yury Yanowksy’s Smoke and Mirrors.

Craig has performed in numerous galas and arts festivals around the world, including Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Cape Cod Dance Festival, Spoleto Festival, World Ballet Competition Gala (2011 and 2012), and American Dance Competition Gala (2016). He has also taught master classes across his home state of Michigan, Boston Ballet School, Urbanity Dance, and in Camp Harbor View, a nonprofit Boston outreach program. Craig is a dancer with Cirio Collective, a Boston-based contemporary dance company.

Craig received the Garold Gardner Scholarship to train at Virginia School of the Arts under the direction of Petrus Bosman and Tyrone Brooks. Before graduating, he was awarded the Virginia School of the Arts Merit Award and the Dean’s Award.

Craig joined Boston Ballet II in 2007, was promoted to corps de ballet in 2008, and to second soloist in 2014. He was promoted to soloist during the 2015–2016 season and to principal dancer in 2017.
